Jack loves drive-in theaters. He thinks they are the greatest inventions ever—well, those newfangled automobile designs are pretty great too.
Perched on a high tree branch, with a clear view of the expansive screen, the teen idly munches on a bucket of popcorn he previously pilfered from a couple who were getting a little too hands-y during their sloppy make-outs.
He wonders what kind of movie will play tonight. The proprietor likes to mix it up for each show; last night’s screening was about a man who becomes enslaved by talking apes.
The parking lot’s lights flicker and dim, signaling the start of the movie. The grainy film begins rolling across the screen. A Night to Remember is spelled out in wavy script.
Smiling, Jack comfortably reclines against the tree trunk. “This is gonna be good.”

A massive snowstorm sweeps across the east coast.

The faerie queen almost drops the large bowl of assorted fruits she is carrying when Jack abruptly appears in her path.
“Hide? Jack, this really isn’t a good—”
“Please?” he whines. “It’s a matter of life and death!”
“Is it Bunny again?”
“What? No! It’s not Bunny…this time.”
“Jack, honey, I love you but I’m in a little bit of a—”
“It’s Mother Nature,” he blurts.
It takes a few seconds for her to register what the teen quickly says. “Mother Nature? Why do you need to hide from her?” Her feathers nervously twitch.
Jack bites his bottom lip, looking quite sheepish from the question. “Well…I sorta started this blizzard back in the States and most of Canada.”
“Another one? Oh Jack,” she chides.
